The flower market in Bangkok is immense. There are about 2,000 stalls lining both sides of the sidewalks for blocks. It's a frenzy of men running back and forth with carts overflowing with any flower you can imagine, trucks arriving full and leaving empty or arriving empty and leaving with a load to take to another part of Thailand. It is the hub of the flower business.We stopped at a little stall just out of the way to buy a lotus flower root tea. It was a flavour I've never experienced before. If I had to describe it I guess I would say that it kind of tastes a little like prawn, but despite the fact that I'm not fond of seafood, it was really good.
